Crackers and Advents and Drawer packs, Oh My!

As well as designing all our wonderful customer packaging, we also spend a large amount of time on our own stock product development. Approx 5 months of the year see our design department collaborate to develop initial ideas, they begin by looking at trends and trying to spot gaps in the market. Over 150 designs were created and then whittled down in meetings and with the help of our customer feedback, we couldn't do any of this without you all!

This year we are offering new and unique ideas, from trend setting geometric print, to luxury drawer packs. We have even added a range designed exclusively with sustainability in mind.

Let's take a look at some of the new ranges:

New advent calendars:

One of our most popular product launches in recent years has been the self-fill advent calendars. This year we see the addition of 2 x new sizes and 4 new designs added to our range.

Our new giant advent is the largest size in our range. It has been designed for much bigger products, with the main use being 40g jars. This advent is not exclusively just for jars, the cavity size for each of the 24 days is 51x59x48mm - this makes this the ideal choice to use for:

• Candle Votives
• Mini jam or honey jars
• 40g Jars of cosmetics
• Tea bags or coffee pods
• Home-made gourmet marshmallows
• Unit price- £3.30 each (packed in 10's)

Our new 12-day advent comes after customer's got in touch requesting a countdown calendar at a cheaper price point. The cavity size for each of the 12 days is 33x30x20mm - ideal for smaller, higher value items.:

• Gourmet chocolates or truffles
• Wax melts
• Jewellery
• Mini cosmetic tins
• Pet treats
• Unit price- £0.95p each (packed in 10's)

We are also launching a new standard 24 day advent in a modern glitter design. Why not add some sparkle to your festive offerings. Unit price- £2.19p each (packed in 10's)

We have new product ranges that use two of our new innovative patterns-

Spotty Bauble Pattern is a bright and colourful design that brings a modern twist for the festive period. Now available in our cracker & ballotin range.

Another new luxury all year-round pattern is the point to point pattern. This modern and fresh geometric print follows the latest design trends and is suitable for all seasons and occasions. The pattern will be rolled out across our standard fold up lids, where they can be coordinated with a metallic gold base for a modern look. We will also be adding this to our ballotin range.

Fun carton for all seasons:

We love to create fun packaging solutions here at Meridian, our new A-Frame range is our latest fun addition. Ideal for small gifts, wedding favours, stocking fillers or easter egg hunts, these mini cartons are an ideal low-cost packaging offering.

Luxury taken to the next level:

We have added some new lines never seen at Meridian. We wanted to add a luxury drawer pack to our range, giving you the opportunity to take your packaging to the next level. Available in 6 x luxurious pearlized boards, you can mix and match to create your own look.

Our new cardboard drums are exclusive to Meridian and are ideal for creating a unique gift for bagged products. The tubes come with metal caps are supplied flat for easy storage and assembly.

Finally!! We have our new Eco range which we are proud to launch. These buffer bases are made of Kraft board from sustainable sources and are recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. These are paired with RPET vac tray and lid which contains approx. 70% post-consumer waste and are widely recyclable.
