These general terms and conditions of sale are applicable to all sales of packaging products (hereafter "Products") offered for sale by the Meridian (Speciality Packaging) Limited (hereafter “Meridian” or "We"). Additional terms specific to a country or to online sales are outlined as special terms where applicable.
By placing an order you agree to these general conditions of sale and any special conditions which apply to your order if it is accepted by Meridian. Acceptance of your order is based on this explicit agreement on behalf of the purchasing individual or company (hereafter "the Customer" or "You") and the Customer waives, without reservation, his own terms and/or conditions.
In case of conflict between these general conditions and any relevant special conditions which apply, the latter shall prevail. Any amendment of this agreement requires the written consent of Meridian.
Your order and the formation of the contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with United Kingdom law. The English courts shall have have jurisdiction to hear disputes between us.
We must receive payment of the price of the products and the delivery charges before we can accept an order. Meridian reserve the right to refuse any order. You will receive either an e-mail or telephone call confirming your order. Only when we have accepted your order is a binding contract created between us.
All our prices are in Pounds Sterling ("GBP").
Where prices (including delivery charges) are presented in Euros or alternative currencies, any price presented is based on third-party variable exchange rate data and is presented as a guide only. Meridian accepts no responsibility for the impact of any variation in non-GBP pricing as shown on this website or sub-domains.
All final payments will be conducted in GBP. GBP prices remain in force until we publish new prices. Delivery charges may apply and are informed of during the ordering process.
Whilst we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, mistakes can sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of products you have ordered we will contact you as soon as possible and give you the option of either re-confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as being cancelled. If the order is cancelled, we will return any money, which we have taken from you.
All the prices quoted are net (exclusive of VAT). VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate as applicable. Where a valid VAT registration number cannot be provided, we will charge VAT in all cases. The prices are free of all duties, taxes, except charges for packaging and shipping.
We reserve the right to vary our prices at any time.
When we receive an order on Monday-Friday, we send the order through to picking. We always aim to dispatch orders as quickly as we can, but due to unprecedented demand on our products and a very high number of orders, we currently send orders out within 3-5 working days after they have been placed on our website. We work hard to get as many orders as possible in progress but during this busy period there might be a slight delay. Unlike Amazon or a large E commerce company, we manually raise all the orders and then pass through to our small team of pickers to process.
All orders requiring production work (including but not limited to custom products or personalised stock products) will be subject to a typical lead-time of 2-3 weeks but the exact lead-time will be confirmed separately for each order. Please note that delivery is not free on production orders even when totalling £150.00. A cost will be worked out based on box qty and weight and you will be notified of this in advance.
All deliveries require a signature (not applicable under current Covid restrictions) and any defects to the transport packaging must be noted on receipt at time of signing for delivery.

All charges are formed of picking, packing and courier charges. In exceptional circumstances it may not be possible to meet the price stated for delivery charges and Meridian reserves to right to re-quote for delivery in these circumstances. The customer will have the opportunity to receive a full refund prior to despatch of goods in the event that they are not entirely satisfied with the price quoted for delivery in such exceptional circumstances. Customers may also prefer to arrange collection of goods - and Meridian will accommodate such a request on a case by case basis, but always works to offer customers every opportunity to arrange delivery of goods to their satisfaction.
Where delivery charges are not available in your region, you will receive notification during checkout and will not immediately be able to complete your order. The order will remain in your basket and you will need to contact our Customer Service team to discuss the order. We may not be able to ship to certain areas but will always try to meet your requirements.
It may not be possible to retrieve your order from our courier and cancel the order in the event that it has been loaded into transit cages - so if you wish to cancel an order please notify us as quickly as possible to avoid incurring delivery and/or return charges.
For Custom (Bespoke) Production Orders: credit for the value of the goods will only be raised in the event of product failure or Meridian’s failure to meet agreed product specifications. You will be required to approve the structural design and/or the imposed artwork for the packaging and this approval will be taken as confirmation that you have checked all details including fitness for intended use, size, suitability, usability, all printed nutritional and allergen information, and the size and position of any barcodes, QR Codes or other machine readable elements. You are also confirming that you have all necessary rights for images, trademarks or other artwork elements to be printed onto the packaging.
Stock orders cancelled prior to despatch will be refunded in full.
For all credit and debit card payments, where the order has been cancelled, customers must note that if the order is not cancelled on the same day as the purchase they will be liable to pay any surcharge fees applied to both the payment and refund transactions.
No liability will be accepted for products where they have been involved with a third party.

If products we deliver to you are not as ordered or are damaged, defective or incorrect in quantity you should contact us within 3 days of delivery. We will replace the incorrect, damaged or defective products or make good the shortfall in quantity or, at our option, credit the price and delivery charges of those products to you. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be construed to exclude or limit any rights you may have as a consumer to the extent that such liability and rights may not be excluded or limited under applicable statute or law.
In addition to the right of cancellation, we operate a Returns Policy.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with any products bought from us you may return them to us within 28 days of purchase for a refund or exchange provided that the goods are returned to us in their original condition and carefully packaged in a condition suitable for re-sale.

Until you have returned the products to us, you must keep them in your possession and take reasonable care of them.

You must provide us with the original invoice, despatch note or other proof of purchase. Please note: when returning items for exchange, an additional postage charge will be required to re-send the exchanged item. Except in instances of product defect, when returning an item for a refund we are unable to reimburse the return postage charge.
Nothing in the returns policy affects your statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
All goods remain the property of Meridian (Speciality Packaging) Limited until such time that all invoices have been paid in full.

Credit accounts may be opened through completing a credit account application. Please request a Customer Account Application form from our Customer Services team if you wish to apply for credit. Please note that if we are unable to obtain a satisfactory credit rating when provided with the above information, an account will not be opened and payment by pro forma will be requested.
Information provided on this website relating to packaging dimensions should be used for guideline purposes only. Unless explicitly stated dimensions provided are internal dimensions - meaning the available space inside the packaging. If you need to know external dimensions to plan outer cases, we recommend either requesting samples of an item or asking a member of our customer services team to confirm the external dimensions of the packaging once assembled.
Product specification information is provided, together with a statement of legal compliance regarding the intended use of the packaging and any food contact information. This document states the general legal compliance of the packaging as it is intended to be used and according only to current UK and EU legislation. Meridian accepts no liability for any losses incurred or other issues arising from uses of the packaging which differ from those explicitly stated in this Declaration of Compliance. It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure all packaging is fit for purpose but Meridian will always aim to assist in providing all relevant detail.
We endeavor to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any data you disclose on-line. You accept the inherent security risks of providing information and dealing on-line over the Internet and will not hold us responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or willful default.

Stock is subject to availaibility. Meridian monitors stock availability and has excellent on-time in-full (OTIF) performance and low stockout ratios. Where stock is unavailable Meridian offers a 7-21 day availability service commitment which means that we will aim to have your order with you within 7-21 days. Meridian reserves the right to extend this deadline in exceptional circumstances or during the busiest periods of the year.
Meridian reserves the right to cancel or remove discounts and offers in case of error.
